Omar Figueroa is U.D.P. Leader-elect?

Cabinet met today in Belmopan. One member who was not around the table was Patrick Faber, who is travelling overseas. According to the reports, the new Minster of Fisheries, Omar Figueroa got the nod from Cabinet as U.D.P. leader-elect, though he is still relatively new to politics running for office for the time in 2015. It means there might not be a contested convention, but merely an endorsement. That decision is to be taken when the U.D.P. meets in National Party Council on Saturday. So is Faber still in the running? That is to be announced when he returns to Belize.
