Art students hold exhibition
Today some Belize City kids experienced their first ever art exhibition. Since September, the House of Culture has been offering an art education programme for children in order to keep them in a safe and productive environment after school hours. Now that the class has come to end, the kids got together for some snacks while they gave their colorful interpretations of life, with crayon and paper.

?The teacher that taught us, first she came up with the idea that she would like to start this exhibition because she felt we did some great drawings. So she asked us Tuesdays and Thursdays to take a course to develop more skills so we can go further in the future.?
Darrel Murillo
?My artwork is like a professional. Just to draw that on the wall, you have to make it out exact, then you shade in the little things with the chalk, but most of the time in my spare time, I like to draw.?
Gina Espat
?I usually use oil pastels or paint.?
Jose Sanchez
?What do you make with it??
Gina Espat
?Sometimes we go and sit by the sea and draw stuff that?s out there.?
Jose Sanchez
?How long have you been taking the art course??
Gina Espat
?I came from September.?
The art classes will resume in January. If you would like your child to join the class, you can check with Pamela Braun or the House of Culture at 73050 for details.
