The Commissioner of Police also defended his own reputation as the top cop. That came about when he was reminded that not too long ago, the Police Department was tasked with investigating former Minister of State for Immigration, Elvin Penner during the Won Hong Kim passport scandal. Nothing turned out from that investigation and the Caribbean Shores Representative, Kareem Musa had to go to court for the investigation to initiate.  Despite a court order, nothing came out of that scandalous matter where South Korean national obtained a passport, while sitting in a jail in Taipei. Chester Williams says he was not at the helm.

“I am not going to speak to that. I was not the commissioner then.”

“Agreed. But you can understand that that is our foundational knowledge of how it works?”

 

Chester Williams

“I am not that person. I am not that commissioner and I don’t expect to be judged based on what happened in the past under a previous commissioner. If it happens under me then you judge me by that.”
