ComPol Chester Williams Defends ACP Marco Vidal
The Police Department is facing public cynicism after a check through Interpol did not detect the long list of illegalities involving accused fraudster Lev Dermen. Assistant Commissioner of Police Marco Vidal was tasked with that investigation and is now heading an investigation into his former boss, John Saldivar. This morning, Commissioner Chester Williams stood by Vidal, saying he was selected based on past successful convictions.

“I’m not going to go into too much specifics. Mr Vidal is an Assistant Commissioner of Police. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge in intelligence gathering. Mr. Vidal has done several major convictions for which we have seen many major convictions. He did the case with Abadi; it was him that investigated that. He did the case with Viera, the guy from the forensic lab with the gun. And Mr. Vidal also did the case with Mr Paumen; all of which were convictions. I do not see why anyone would want to think that he’s not capable of doing this investigation.”

“So you’re going on his track record with successful convictions in the past?”
Chester Williams
“And those are persons who had influence.”
