New CD features Christmas songs

There are only twenty-four more days till Christmas, but for those of you who don’t like waiting, there is a new CD. “Do You Know Christmas in Belize” plans to keep you spirited with Caribbean versions of popular songs such as “Silent Night” and “O Come All Ye Faithful.” The twelve track album was produced by Andrew Robateau in his own studio along with his wife Denise.

“The style that the songs they are in are calypso, soca and reggae. There’s an original track, ?Do You Know? that have written specifically for this album. It came to me actually after I started the album, started producing it. This song came also emphasizing what the whole album is all about. Reminding us about Christ, the birth of Christ around Christmas time.”

“So far we’ve been selling. My wife and myself we’ve been selling and the response has been very good and people really enjoy the style that it’s in. Understanding that we’re of the Caribbean flavor, that we’re associated with that and to put it in that flavor adds to our own cultural experience in a Christmas scene.”
