Michael Franklin is Charged for Attempted Murder in Corozal
There were two shooting incidents up north in the Corozal District. The first occurred on February fifth in which Samuel Matura was injured. Around eight-thirty p.m., Matura was targeted as he arrived at his house in the White Cocal area of Corozal Town. Even as he was injured, Matura made his way to the police station several blocks away and was assisted to the Corozal Community Hospital. Superintendent Alejandro Cowo says that nineteen-year-old Michael Franklin has been charged and remanded for crime.

“He was about to park his vehicle. He saw a male person who fired several shots at his direction. He managed to drive up to the police station where he was assisted and taken to the Corozal Community Hospital where he was treated and discharged. He received injuries to his left thumb and a graze to his body. since then, he reported that he know who was the person and as a result, a male person by the name of Michael Hugh Franklin, nineteen years, was detained and on Friday, he was arrested and charged for the crime of attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm and dangerous harm.”
