Belize Elementary puts on Christmas show
The Belize Elementary School is getting an early start into the spirit of the holidays by putting on its annual Christmas programme. Fifteen of the classes will be singing, dancing and acting on stage tonight and tomorrow night under the theme Christmas Around The World.
Leslie Nisbet, Teacher, Belize Elementary
“We figured this year instead of just children performing on stage, we?d give them a theme a to perform about. So the different classes have different countries that they are portraying. And we figured this would be a good thing in terms of them socializing with different cultures and getting to know their cultures and being a part of another culture. For example India, Columbia, we have a choir singing on both nights. And they will be singing in Mandarin. They’ll be singing Silent Night in German and in Spanish and in English. They’ll also be singing a song in Swahili.”
The Christmas show opens at the Holy Redeemer Parish Hall at seven p.m. sharp. Tickets are five dollars each.
