BEL has new financial controller

Changes continue at the Belize Electricity Limited. The company has recently appointed Yaksim Betty Tam as the new financial controller. Tam will be responsible for the financial reporting and treasury management of the company. Rene Blanco, BEL’s Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, says Tam’s appointment will help the company in its quest to attain the high standards that all stakeholders are expecting. Tam has sixteen years of experience in financing and accounting. She holds an accounting degree from Murray State University in Kentucky, U.S.A. and is a certified public accountant. She previously worked at Carlisle Holdings and Regent Insurance Company.
