Man assaulted for money
A mason of Hattieville was attacked and robbed while returning home from a Chinese shop. At eleven-thirty p.m. on November sixteenth, Barry Patnett was confronted by three men who asked him about the whereabouts of a man named Anthony. Patnett told the men that he knew anyone named Anthony and the three men then became violent and assaulted him with several pint bottles. Patnett was lucky to get away with only a wound above his left eye. Police investigations led to the arrest of Albert Arnold, Ryan Domingo, and John Henry, all labourers of Hattieville. They were charged with the crimes of robbery and wounding.
