Management changes at Hattieville Prison
Last night we reported that the Ministry of Housing has appointed Celine Cleland as its new Chief Executive Officer. Cleland in an interview on Wednesday, stated that she would like to see a more efficient administration at the prisons, and certainly didn’t waste any time making the changes she has put before the Public Service Commission for approval. Today Channel Five has learnt that Prison Governor Bernard Adolphus will soon be responsible for only security and custody and will no longer be in control of personnel, administration, finance, hiring and firing. These new positions will be taken up by Wayne Moody, the present Director of Rehabilitation. Moody is expected to have a new job title in keeping with his additional responsibilities. News Five was unable to contact both Adolphus and Moody for comment.
