Fire destroys another house at San Pedro
It seems that bad luck continues to plague the hurricane stricken citizens of San Pedro. Around eleven o’clock Tuesday morning fire fighters were once again called out to the scene of a blaze in the Boca Del Rio area. Upon arriving they saw the upstairs of a two storey wooden house engulfed in flames. The fire, however, was concentrated in the living room and did not take long to extinguish. According to fire chief Henry Baizar, a halogen bulb hooked up to a battery unit was found in a chair and probably caused the incident. Much of San Pedro is still without electricity. At the time of the fire no one was home. The building is owned by Auretio Nunez and was insured with Regent Insurance for sixty thousand dollars.
