Belize Friendship Assoc. donates to Keith relief
Fifteen thousand dollars worth of food, medical supplies, and assorted items have been given to the hurricane victims of the Orange Walk and Corozal districts. The donation, which is a gift from the Belize Friendship Association of Los Angeles, California, was presented to Deputy Prime Minister, Johnny Briceno by BFA’s Vice Chairman, Gilbert Marin. In accepting the gift, Briceno thanked the association saying it is always a pleasure to know that Belizeans abroad keep up with what’s going on in the homeland and reach out with a helping hand when needed. It is not the first time that BFA has assisted the people in the north. For a number of years, the forty-member association has given other supplies like toys and children’s clothing.
