Three Wayward Cops Arraigned for Sexual Coercion
Three police officers, including a corporal, have been arrested and charged following the coercion of two Belize City residents into a sexual act last Tuesday. Forty-six-year-old Jason Shaw, thirty-eight-year-old Leslie Martinez and twenty-year-old Anthony Villamil were arraigned earlier today for the crime of willful oppression. That’s because a report was filed by a forty-five-year-old laborer in which he alleges that the trio of officers forced him and a female companion into having sex when they were seen inside an abandoned building on Central American Boulevard.
One of the officers had a phone in his hand and purportedly told him to finish. The man reported that he went behind the woman and pretended to have intercourse with her. The revolting episode was recorded and disseminated on social media prompting Commissioner of Police Chester Williams to take disciplinary action against the officers internally. They appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today where they were granted bail of one thousand dollars, plus one surety of the same amount.
