Dr. Colin Young is New Chair of the S.S.B.

The post of Chairman of S.S.B. is now duly filled and by a familiar face there. Doctor Colin Young is back at the Social Security Board.  Late last year, he stepped down as C.E.O. of the S.S.B. to head the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre in Belmopan. Five months later, however, Young has been tapped as the new Chair of the S.S.B. to replace Dough Singh whose spectacular fall from the S.S.B. in April came immediately after a crude interview with reporter Aaron Humes surfaced on social media. According to a government release, Young’s appointment takes effect today. Young has served as C.E.O. in the Ministries of Agriculture and Energy and on the boards of various organizations both locally and internationally.
