San Pedro Belize Express Gives Back!
The San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi made two COVID-19 relief donations today. The first donation comprises food packages to almost fifty families in the Majestic Alley neighbourhood of the City. The families are getting basic grocery items including poultry products. The second donation was made to the families who reside in San Pedro. This morning we stopped in for a brief presentation of the food items in Belize City.
Shameka Pennill, Marketing Manager, San Pedro Belize Express
“We are providing some relief for the members of the Majestic Alley. They had came into us and ask for help and so we decided we would be able to give them some relief which includes basic food items.”
Andrea Polanco
“How many families benefitting today?”
Shameka Pennill
“On the list that they submitted, they submitted forty-eight families and some included four person and some families included up to eight persons.”
Andrea Polanco
“And these groceries would last them for approximately how long more or less?”
Shameka Pennill
“I believe it would last them for at least two weeks. The other relief is going to be for San Pedro. We are going to load up shortly and head over to San Pedro.”
Andrea Polanco
“How many families will benefit there?”
Shameka Pennill
“We didn’t separate them into families. We are going to do the same thing like we did the last time and just dropping them and the person in charge in San Pedro, I believe the town council will be distributing in San Pedro. So, it’s just bulk items.”
