Santa Elena man says GSU tortured him!

Thirty-six-year-old David Galindo says he was beaten by law enforcement officers on Thursday morning. Galindo says that several G.S.U. officers arrived at his home in Santa Elena around six-thirty that day looking for drugs and ammunition. He says that when they didn’t find anything, that is when they took him away. He says that his brother, Mynor Galindo was also picked up from the house. Galindo alleges that the officers made threats and proceeded to beat them up. He is now at the hospital with injuries to the back. Today he describes the incident during which he says he sustained burns from a lighter that the officers used to inflict pain.

VIA PHONE: David Galindo, Claims Police Brutality

“They come and say alright we done search unu place well now it’s time for us to get what we have to get and they say that today we have to give them a gun and if they nuh get a gun they wah take it out ah we some way even if they have to hospitalize we. And that is what they did. I didn’t believe it but they put it to the light and they do it. So, the police neva do the job they were supposed to do because I feel like a hostage. I neva feel like a person they come do a search. They told me you see that blue van out there that is what we do with people. We ker people and neva bring them back and you nuh know we might ker you fi wah ride. They tell me to take the last view. They ker me in a heavily tinted van. Lone officers in combat suit. They beat me up in my head. They slap me up; punch me up; bruise up my back. They torture we meaning they grab a lighter and burn we nipple. They put the lighter there for a long while until we can’t resist anymore. Like three or four of them hold we down and just burn it, burn it with no remorse. It’s like you nuh have no feelings.”

Galindo says that he and his brother were left without their shirt and footwear far from home. When we spoke with Galindo this morning he was heading to hospital and we understand he remains there at this time.
