Four Men Receive Stab and Chop Wounds during Violent Incident in Old Hattieville Area

As the state of emergency is relaxed, crime is rearing its ugly head.  Tonight, four men are recovering at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for varying degrees of injury following a brawl in the Old Hattieville area of Hattieville Village. On Monday night, police responded to a yard in the village where an uncle and nephew had been assaulted by a group of men. Roger Trapp was beaten to a pulp while his nephew, Enrique Pook was stabbed one to the chest with a scissors as he defended his uncle. Within minutes, police arrived but by then, the attackers had fled the scene. About thirty minutes later, police were called once again to the area where two persons had been chopped. Christopher Hyde received a large cut wound to the left side of his head and Calbert Mejia was chopped to the head and back. All four were rushed to the K.H.M.H. where they are in a stable condition. Today, News Five spoke with Pook’s mother, Glenda Baptist, who says that her son intervened to save her brother Roger Trapp.
