According to Commissioner of Police Chester Williams; while the guns turned out to be fake, the fear instilled by the men on the public is very real.  He says that policymakers will need to take a closer look at retracting the importation of imitation firearms as these are also used to terrorize members of the public.

“We are seeing more and more imitated firearms looking or resembling the real firearm and so it is something that we need to look at to address because if someone were to come and hold you up with one of those guns you will not be able to know that it is imitating and you for sure will be in fear and will surrender what it is that is being asked for you to surrender. So we need to look at our laws to see how we can restrict the importation of these firearms, these imitation firearms into our country.”
