A.C.C. holds annual fair to raise funds for school

Story PictureIt may be a work day but there’s no reason why you can’t pop in at the Anglican Cathedral College‘s fair on Friday. Organizers have been planning since the end of last year and have prepared an assortment of activities to entertain the entire family. According to Alex Norales, one of the organizers, this annual event is a major fundraiser to help pay for the maintenance of the school.

Alex Norales, Teacher, A.C.C.
“The purpose of fundraising, you know every institution especially one like ours that is government aided can’t really survive like that. We’re trying to fundraise, we’re backlogging on fees and stuff and we need to have those funds to keep the school open and running, pretty much.”

“And exactly what are we gonna see tomorrow?”

Alex Norales
“Well, tomorrow is a whole day event, leading all the way in the morning, It’s gonna be very hype. We have all of our students showcasing their talents every half an hour right ten o’clock in the morning—every half an hour we’ll have something going on. The school band will be performing, we’ll have different girls that sing, different boys that sing. We’ll have some the boys that are currently participating in Masters of the Floor; they will be there as well. We’ll have some local artist participation, we’ll have Berne himself, Mr. Program will be there. Both of them will be selling their new release and they will be giving out their autograph. We have a D.J. spin-off which is something our students are really looking forward to an A.C.C. students-only though, DJ spin-off. And we’ll be having our popularity contest, lots of food, lots to drink.”

The school gates open up to the public at ten a.m. and the fair ends at two a.m.
