Brawl Leads to Brothers Being Chopped in San Roman Village

There was also a chopping incident in San Roman Village in the Corozal District. It happened on Saturday night at around eight o’clock. Two persons were taken to the Northern Regional Hospital after being injured in a machete fight. They are brothers Andison and Kevin Pech. According to ACP Joseph Myvett, the Pech brothers were involved in a fight with Obaldo Rodriguez, who pulled out a machete after he was attacked by the Pech siblings.

“During the investigation he police learned that the Pech brothers went to an area where Rodriguez was socializing with others where an argument ensued and as a result those persons started beating on Rodriguez where he also received cut received. He in turn may have inflicted injuries on those persons. The matter is still under investigation at this point. No one has yet been charged.”

“Sir, in a situation like that, do the police consider the aggressors as the culprits of a particular crime if one should take place?”

“Well that will be determined upon the evidence. Yes and indeed that will be a factor. Mister Rodriguez was somewhere else apart from where they were and they were the persons who went to where he was.”
