Narco-Traffickers Escaped with Drugs

As for the drugs in the narco plane that crash landed along the Chunox/Sarteneja road two weeks ago, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams says that the cargo may have already been transported across the border into Mexico. The plane diverted to an open farm after the pilot realized that officers were monitoring is original landing site. With help from persons on the ground, the pilots quickly moved the drugs out of the area, leaving the plane as evidence. An operation to locate the drugs was launched, but it proved fruitless. The two persons, who were detained, have been released, but Williams says that two additional persons have been hauled in for questioning.

“I know we had detained an additional two persons for questioning but we have come up with anything concrete to say we can charge anybody. By now we believe that the drugs have moved into Mexico. So the operation within Belize where that plane is concern has come to an end.”

“Those additional two persons are separate from the original two that were detained?”

“Yes.”

“And the original two, they have been released?”

Chester Williams

“They have been released, yes.”

“Is that expected to happened with these two since as you mentioned…”

“Well it is an investigation process. We have to see how the investigation goes.”
