Public Servants to Return to Work for Normal Hours
According to the Attorney General, the S.I., which comes into effect on Friday, only imposes time restrictions for the curfew. As for public officers, who were reporting to work at nine and working in shifts, Michael Peyrefitte says that stops; starting Friday, they report to work at eight o’clock in the morning.
Michael Peyrefitte, Attorney General
“The only thing that is imposed in this S.I. is time for curfew. Every other time that applied before we did any state of emergency. Let me give you an example, starting tomorrow all public servants are to report to work at eight a.m. and report off from work at four thirty on Friday pursuant to the Public Service Regulations. And I am sure that our dedicated public servants are super excited about that. So starting tomorrow work begins at eight a.m. and ends at forty-thirty and starting next week Monday, eight a.m. to five p.m. So all times go back to pre-covid-19 restrictions.”
