P.U.P. Says G.O.B. Merciless in Time of Crisis

The increase of prices for LPG came on the same day of a hike in the price of regular fuel.  It was not lost on the People’s United Party, which fired off a press release today.  The press release states, “Whenever the price of fuel and associated products go down in the region and around the world, somehow, it never happens in Belize.” The P.U.P. says that the increase of butane prices is a slap in the face of all normal Belizeans and a gross abuse and total disregard for the crisis facing the country. The P.U.P. goes further to say that, “The increase in butane cost is insane, and tantamount to rape.” The Opposition Party contends that it will no longer call on the U.D.P. to do what is right, but rather on Belizeans to stand up against this injustice and join the move to save the economy.
