Dangriga benefits from SSB purchase

A financial arrangement between the Social Security Board and the Government of Belize will result in some improvements to the town of Dangriga. A release from the Press Office reports that SSB has purchased the property on which the old Dangriga Hospital was located for one point five million dollars and that money will be turned around immediately for community projects. These include a new school building for the Delille Academy, a renovation of the town pier, completion of the library and construction of a new sporting facility. The Social Security Board will use the newly purchased land to build a new office complex, which will house its district offices as well as various government departments.
