BEL donates to Cancer Society

In an effort to help create a computerised database of those Belizeans suffering from cancer, Belize Electricity Limited has donated a computer to the Belize Cancer Society. The Intel Pentium computer and printer, valued at four thousand, five hundred dollars, was today handed over by BEL’s Public Relations Officer Diana Forman. Accepting the donation on behalf of the organisation was President Higinia Leslie and Chairman for the Cancer Society’s Registry, Dr. Hugh Sanchez. Statistics on cancer in Belize are practically non-existent and the creation of a database will greatly assist the cancer society to mobilize improved levels of care for its clients.
