Bar Association publishes Law Review
Several weeks ago we reported on renovations being made to the Supreme Court building in Belize City. Today we discover that perhaps even more important upgrades are being made inside the walls of the Bar Association. The first issue of Belize Law Review was circulated by fax today and for laymen as well as lawyers it provides relevant news and insights into our system of justice. Of particular use for journalists is a review of selected written opinions from the Supreme Court. Included in this month’s issue are Rhett Fuller’s successful application for bail as well as civil cases involving accountant Cedric Flowers’ claim against the Belize Tourism Board and the swindling of James Blake by dishonest associates in San Pedro. Viewers interested in receiving the Belize Law Review should contact the Bar Association’s Administrative Secretary, Jose Alpuche, at 75476 in Belize City.
