Lord Michael Ashcroft Receives Certificate of Appreciation from Belize Police Department

And this news…On Wednesday, the Police Department celebrated outstanding citizens who have supported the work of the department. The awards were presented during ceremonies held at different police stations across the country. The theme of the new programme is “Honouring and celebrating citizens for partnering with us.” Among the awardees is Lord Michael Ashcroft, who was issued with a certificate of appreciation. Lyndon Guiseppi of the Belize Bank today accepted the recognition on behalf of Lord Ashcroft.  The Lord Ashcroft COVID-19 Relief Fund has made two contributions to the department in support of the fight against the coronavirus. The Fund has granted some seventy-five thousand dollars to equip the department with P.P.E.s: such as gloves, face shields and masks for its officers who are in the front lines of the COVID-19 fight. On his twitter account today, Lord Ashcroft acknowledged the certificate saying it is nice to receive the “Outstanding Citizen Award” for donating equipment during this COVID time.
