Chairman Scott says Land Commissioner Not Answering Questions
According to Scott, he has attempted to clarify the matter with Commissioner of Lands and Surveys, Wilbert Vallejos. Scott says that Vallejos has not responded to any of his queries. That, he says, is raising an alarm.
Vincent Scott, Chairman, Santa Cruz Village Council
“To come in and take the last piece of land that we have in the village that is the situation because the village already stopped and then we now we only had that project. So to come in and get in to that project and block out the village council; not even a member of my council they spoke and say that they have permission. I want to know, that is why I went to the Lands Department today to find out from the Commissioner before I came to the media because every time people say Santa Cruz likes media. So I tried my best for over a month now to try to find out what is the situation with the project. We need to know if this is true because if this is true then we are very worried about it.”
Hipolito Novelo
“Have you asked Mister Vallejos?”
Vincent Scott
“I have tried to contact him. I went to the office today again and they told me that he was not there. He was the one who told me to come on Thursday.”
Hipolito Novelo
“You sent him a whatsapp?”
Vincent Scott
“Yes on Whatsapp. And he told me to come on Thursday. I was there last Tuesday and the Thursday before that. So now I have no other choice because the elections are coming.”
Hipolito Novelo
“Is he too busy or is he ignoring you, or avoiding you?”
Vincent Scott
“I am not sure what is happening because all this stuff at the Land Department but at least I will give him the benefit of the doubt.”
