Woman wins new house in St. James raffle
This afternoon, Donna Pech walked into the offices of St. James National Building Society and received the keys to her brand new house. Pech won the house on Saturday in the financial institution’s first anniversary grand raffle. A single mother of four children, Pech said the house could not have come at a better time. She has been working hard to own a home and while presently has a house under construction, the work has been delayed by a number of setbacks. Pech, who now lives with her mother, was not present at Saturday’s drawing and said when she found out, she could not believe the good news.
Donna Pech, Winner, House
“Well I feel so happy. When my sister called and told me, I was kind of surprise you know winning the ticket. But when my sister told me that she bought the ticket, I keep telling her I am up and down looking to try to get a house of my own, and that I want to finish my own house, but I am happy.”

“So when should we expect to see Donna moving into her brand new home?”
Donna Pech
“Next week, hopefully when I’m finished with everything.”
Jacqueline Woods
“So this came at a very appropriate time for you?”
Donna Pech
“Yes, Yes.
Pech said she would like to thank St. James National Building Society and her sister for making her dream come true. The two bedroom house is located in the Belama Phase Three extension.
