Suspect arrested in Iguana Street shooting

While San Ignacio police have not made any arrest in the Geoffrey Mas murder, Belize City police have been making progress in another killing that took place the same day. On Friday, police arrested eighteen-year old Gilroy Wade Junior, of number six South Creek and charged him with the murder of Azrin White. White was shot in the face while he was sitting with his girlfriend in front of her house on Iguana Street. Police say at this time they do not have a motive for the murder although it is believed to be gang related. This morning Wade appeared in Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to Hattieville Prison.
