SUV Crashes into Horse, Killing Elderly Woman
…that accident was in the south and heading west, an elderly woman of Spanish Lookout community also lost her life on Sunday night when the vehicle her son was driving in the vicinity of Camalote Village crashed into a horse in the middle of the George Price Highway. Philip Wolfe was driving his sports utility vehicle shortly after eight o’clock and did not notice that a horse had strayed onto the highway. The violent collision knocked sixty-five-year-old Sarah Wolfe unconscious and despite being rushed to the Western Regional Hospital, never regained consciousness.

“Last night, sometime around 8:15 p.m., Roaring Creek police were called out to the scene of an accident in Camalote Village whereupon arrival they spoke to one Philip Wolfe, forty-four-years-old of a Spanish Lookout address who reported to police that whilst he was westbound in his SUV accompanied by his mother, one Sarah Wolfe, sixty-five-years-old, whilst traveling in Camalote Village he collided into a horse which was in the middle of the highway. As a result, the vehicle sustained extensive damage to the right portion and in so doing, Mrs. Sarah Wolfe was injured and was unconscious on the scene. She was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Police are investigating this incident at this time.”
