“What the police know so far is that Raymond Jenkins arrived in Calcutta Village sometime around 2:15 p.m. in his car; his purpose of being there was to repair his phone. So he took the phone to someone there who repaired phone and waited. Whilst the phone was being repaired, several shots were heard after which the person repairing the phone came outside and saw Mister Jenkins in his car with apparent gunshot injuries and rushed him to the Corozal Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. We also learnt that whilst Mister Jenkins was waiting there, he was approached by two male persons who were on a red motorbike, one of whom fired several shots in his direction, causing the aforementioned injuries. Police are investigating this matter. At this point in time, we do not have anyone in our custody. We are following several leads in relation to the investigation.”
