Police pursue drug traffickers

They tried to getaway from the police, but were not quick enough for the long arm of the law. Late Wednesday evening, the police conducted a checkpoint in front of the police station in Roaring Creek Village. Things were going smoothly until the cops spotted a green car. The driver of the Toyota Celica also seeing the strong police presence up ahead, first swerved the vehicle and tried to escape the traffic check. However, the car could not get through the checkpoint, so both the driver and his passenger tried to make a run for it through some nearby bushes. But the police took chase and quickly apprehended the men identified as thirty-four year old Leo Cadle and thirty-six year old Eckert Pennel. In their possession, the police found six and a half pounds of cannabis in two plastic bags. Cadle and Pennel were promptly arrested and charged with drug trafficking.
