Pastor Wade Says MS-13 Tag was Strategic but not a Target!
But what does the Pastor of Belmopan Nazarene Church think of this gang tags on his church? Well, that Pastor happens to be our media colleague Louis Wade of Plus TV. Today, Wade said that he doesn’t believe the tags or the bullets were targets launched at his church, but thinks those were strategically placed. Here’s how he explains it.
Louis Wade, Pastor, Belmopan Nazarene Church
“I immediately sensed that it was a not a message directly at us but they wanted us to help get the word out. So, there was no sense of immediate danger but a sense of urgency on behalf of the community. They chose the church that is close to the media; online; thousand s of people online each week. That area had just been painted a few days before and it is right on the walkway heading to the park. So, they chose a church; a park and right next to the police station. So, in my opinion, it’s very public places deliberately and strategically done to get the attention of the community. At our door step, there were ten bullets; one of them, the largest bullet was placed in the center and the other bullets were strategically placed on the side. Nothing was rudimentary or arbitrary about what was done. It was very strategic. We work very closely with the entire Belmopan community. There are no personal or community conflicts.”
