Robber cries wolf, arrested by police
He cried wolf. That’s the story of eighteen-year old Myron Harris who reported to police on Monday that at about 9:20 on Saturday night he was attacked by an unknown individual and innocently stabbed. Harris, a resident of number forty-eight South Street initially told police that he was walking in the Conch Shell Bay area when a man leapt up on him and stabbed him on the left side of his body. However police investigations proved that in fact, not only was Harris not innocently wounded, but that he was the perpetrator of a robbery. Police linked Harris’s stab wounds to an incident which occurred on Saturday night on Vernon Street. On Tuesday a twenty-six year old resident of Ladyville reported to police that at about 8:30 on Saturday night she was walking on Vernon Street with her cousin when a man of fair complexion passed them. According to her, the same man then turned around and grabbed three of her gold chains off her neck. The man was then pursued by her uncle and his friends who were in the vicinity at the time. When they caught him a struggle ensued and he was stabbed. And just who was this man of fair complexion who stole three gold chains and received a stab wound for his trouble? He is no other than Myron Harris, the same man who told police that he was stabbed for nothing. According to police when they linked the woman’s story with Myron’s stab wound, he confessed. However, for crying wolf he will get more than just a stab wound and bad name, as he is presently detained and will be charged for his crime.
