Immigration Officers Plead Not Guilty to Drug Related Charges
Three immigration officers were today escorted to the Orange Walk Magistrate court for drug related charges. They are thirty-six-year-old Steven Williams, forty-one-year-old Albert Munnings, and twenty-six-year-old Wilmer Cocom. The trio was jointly charged and arraigned for Possession of Controlled drug with intent to supply to another. The men pleaded not guilty and were offered bail of ten thousand dollars plus two sureties of five thousand dollars each. They were represented by Attorney Richard Bradley and are scheduled to return to court n September twenty-third. The men were arrested on August fifth at a checkpoint near the toll bridge in Orange Walk Town. A search of the vehicle led police to discover of several parcels of weed amounting to over eight pounds.
