Will Robbers Come After Alex Sanker?

Police were quick to detain the two suspects, but one escaped. But did the good deed by Alex Sanker cast a shadow of fear on his life? The artist told News Five today that after hitting the robbers, they threatened to return. Sanker says that he has been living there for years and is not going to be a prisoner to criminal elements.

“I did not get up this morning and doing this. People who know me, know I stand for something real. I am a public figure, but at the end of the day, I will live in peace and not in fear in my own country. People have to get this clear. Weh fi happen, wah happen. That’s just me. And like I mention earlier, I lef that ina God’s hands, but at the end of the day, I noh wah di walk about ina mi country ina fear. That’s just not me. O Life is real. Listen, I am forty-nine; I am going to be fifty next couple of months. The last time I sing the national anthem, it said land of the free. Now that doesn’t mean I am going to go dressed in a full red outfit in a crip area or I am going to go into somebody house and slap dehn wife. I am not doing that. My thing is, yes I am going to take precaution; I’ve been taking precaution even before this. This country is dangerous right now; it’s about the action that is happening every day. So my thing is I am going to take precaution; it is on a personal level what I am going to do to do that. But of course, this right here and me, I am going to defend this with everything I have left.”
