No bidders for Biltmore

Tonight it appears that one local hotel has escaped a financial noose even after it was put up for auction. News Five has confirmed that the Belize Biltmore Plaza, owned by Caribbean Shores Development Limited, was slated to be auctioned off on Thursday. David Reyes, Acting General Manager for Biltmore told News Five today that despite the auction order, the hotel is running on its own finances at this point but refused to comment on the hotel’s overall financial status. According to Auctioneer Rown Holland, there were plenty of interested buyers at the auction on Thursday, but no one made an offer and nothing ended up being sold. Holland says a new date for the auction should be set in the near future.
