Milt Palacio coming home

The word on the street is true, star point guard for the Belize National Basketball team, Milton Palacio will be in Belize on Monday. Official sources from the team have confirmed that Palacio will be working out with the national team but it is not guaranteed that he will be playing in Barbados. Given the fact that Milt is teamless since being dropped by the Vancouver Grizzlies earlier this year, Palacio’s trip home might be more about hyping up morale than defending the CARICOM title. If another NBA club decides it wants to have a look at Milt during the summer, one can only assume he would have no choice but to pack his bags and return to North America. In the 1998 CARICOM games hosted in Belize, Palacio led the team to victory and was named MVP of the tournament. This year’s CARICOM games will be held in Barbados from June 29th to July 8th and Channel Five will be bringing you live action coverage.
