Man shot because he had no money

Police in Corozal are tonight looking for 4 men who attempted to rob a man, but because he had no money, shot him. 31-year old Ulices Moran, of Maskall Village, told police that around 10:20 on Monday night, he was on his way home from Santa Martha when he was attacked by 4 masked men. 3 of the men were armed with handguns and the other had a shotgun. The men demanded money and when Moran had none to give them, the man with the shotgun shot him in the face. As Moran lay bleeding on the ground, the men then fled the scene. Moran received injuries to the right side of his face and is currently at the KHMH in a stable condition. Police have not detained anyone in connection to this crime.
