“We have a number of murders just after the curfew was lifted, it must be a concern to you that unfortunately we are sliding back down in crime?”
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“Well, let me say, Ortiz that for the past week or so we had been extremely busy trying to locate PC Ical. And so many of our human resources of anti-gang operations were extracted out of Belize City and placed in the jungle to search for PC Ical. Now that the search for Ical is over we can now go back and concentrate our effort in Belize City to see how we can deal with the gang issue. But, may I say there are certain things that are being done currently and I guess some people have shown that they are not capable of living amongst people. So, you know what is going to happen. I say no more.”
