Two Men Shot in Belize City
There was a shooting in Belize City on Friday night. Police say that two men were shot around six-forty that night but fortunately they didn’t sustain life threatening injuries. Deputy Head of the Crimes Investigation Branch says that this shooting is as a result of ongoing gang rivalries.
Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero, Deputy Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“Police visited the K.H.M.H. where they saw Kent Moss and James Herrera with gunshot injuries to the body. Information indicate that they were on Freedom Street socializing when a car pulled up and two male persons exited and one of them fired the shots towards them. Both are in the K.H.M.H. in a stable condition. The information we have is that it is the same ongoing rivalry. This is two groups of persons that have different rivalries and they are from different gangs in the city.”
Police say no one is detained.
