Patrick Faber: “Shyne’s Situation is Unfortunate”
The allegation made against U.D.P. Mesopotamia Standard Bearer Shyne Barrow, by his wife, continues to make headlines. The aspiring politician is accused of domestic violence, despite a retraction of a police report made by his spouse over the weekend. So how does the incident affect Barrow’s image and what bearing, if any, will it have on his constituents? According to Party Leader Elect Faber, the situation is unfortunate.
Patrick Faber, U.D.P. Leader Elect
“Shyne has put in his work, he has done a lot of work. He’s one of those candidates, not that the U.D.P. has any, but he’s certainly not one of those candidates who has sat down and not done any kind of political work. He has done that work masterfully, and then again, he’s also supported by the indomitable Michael Finnegan who I am sure will lend his support and his actions to ensure that the seat is delivered once again for the U.D.P. Shyne’s situation is unfortunate but we’ve seen what has happened in that case, I am not one to judge him but I will say this, that for me and for our U.D.P., we don’t condone any kind of violence against anybody and we make that plain for the record and we also say that if any situations arise where we have to make a decision that will of course lean on the side of those who are victims of such violence that the decision be made in that regard, but we don’t think that that is the situation now, given what has happened.”
