A Message from an Ex-Con to At-Risk Youths
Pascascio says that he took it upon himself to rehabilitate while in prison. He also sends a message to at-risk-youths being recruited by gangs or being caught up in the criminal justice system, to stay away from trouble.
Trevor Clifton Pascascio Marin, Ex-Convict
“Crime noh pay; crime noh pay. El Chapo is a great example and he was a wealthy man and weh part he deh? Prison. So dehn brethren weh ina di city yah, throughout the country, weh di call themselves general, unu stop it brethren! Dah unu own people unu di kill; unu own brethren weh unu gone dah school with and unu noh di reap nothing from it. Being a general noh pay, being a shotta, noh pay. There is no such thing as homeboy. Yo homeboy done dead. Anybody you influence to go and do crime dah noh yo friend. Anybody; noh care dah who you. We need fi stop and work on the youths cause when the tree get big, yow ah can’t bend it; yo have to bend it from now. Discipline wins all battle. In being disciplined, I will be victorious developing myself and society.”
