Belize City Man Stabbed during Domestic Dispute

A couple’s domestic dispute has left a man hospitalized. According to police, David Pou and his girlfriend were having an argument when she called for her family to help her move from the couple’s home. The woman’s family reportedly got into an altercation with Pou and he was stabbed.

“On Sunday, Police visited the K.H.M.H. where they found David Pou with stab wounds to the abdomen. Information revealed that he was on McKay Boulevard when he had a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. The girlfriend then called her family for assistance to leave the house to take her belongings. The family members arrived after which there was a fight between them; two males and the mother of the female person that was there arrived and as a result this person was stabbed.”

Police say that another man, Ruben Lopez also received a cut wound to the hand. Three persons are in police custody and police are expected to move forward with charges in connection with this incident.
