Former P.U.P. Minister Dies Due to COVID-19

He was a former P.U.P. minister and tonight the family and friends of Ainslie Leslie are mourning his passing. Leslie died early this morning after suffering complications caused by the deadly novel coronavirus. The seventy-three-year-old two-term Cayo North Area Representative was admitted to the San Ignacio Hospital earlier this week before being transported to the K.H.M.H. last night with respiratory problems.  He was admitted to the COVID isolation unit and placed on a ventilator.  His health continued to deteriorate rapidly and he passed early this morning. Leslie served under former Prime Minister Said Musa between 1998 and 2008. He served as a Minister of State in the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Environmnet, Commerce and Industry.    In the west, Brother Les, as he was known, was a well liked personality across party lines.
