Family Loses Home to Fire in August Pine Ridge
There was another fire this week. It happened in August Pine Ride in Orange Walk on Sunday morning around nine-thirty. ACP Joseph Myvett told reporters that the investigation shows that a minor was playing a lighter and accidentally set the house on fire.

“Eustaqio Tus of August Pine Ridge Village in Orange Walk visited the Orange Walk Police Station and reported that on Saturday sometime around seven-forty-five p.m., while he was inside his yard with other family members he was alerted that his home was on fire. As a result, he quickly rushed in and observed that a mattress in one of the rooms was on fire. He was unable to extinguish the fire which caused the home to be burnt down. What the police are getting is that a family of his whom is a minor was apparently playing with a lighter which caused the fire. Police are investigating this matter.”
