Deadly Motorcycle Accident Claims the Life of a 25-Year-Old Man
A twenty-five-year-old man from Dangriga lost his life in a motorcycle accident on the Hummingbird Highway when his collided into a sign on the highway. Police say that Alwin Cayetano lost control of his motorcycle, crashed and died just after nine in St. Margaret’s Village. Another person riding with him was sustained injuries.
ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“Police were called to an area between miles thirty-four and thirty-five on the Hummingbird Highway where upon arrival they observed a motorcycle on the side of the highway when heading north and they observed a male person motionless who was identified as twenty-five-year-old Alwin Cayetano who was the driver. He was accompanied by Tyrique Lopez, twenty-one-year-old, who was the pillion rider or his passenger. What the police gather is that they were north bound when the driver seemingly lost control around a curve and crashed into a sign that was on the right hand side of the highway causing his death. They, apparently, were travelling with others on separate motorcycles. The police are investigating this matter.”
