12 Primary School Teachers Host Social Event at School; Cops Press Charges!

In other COVID-19 regulations related arrests over the weekend, twelve primary school teachers from Dangriga were arrested and charged for attending a restricted social event. According to police, around two-thirty on Friday afternoon, acting upon information, Dangriga Police visited Sacred Heart Primary School where they encountered twelve teachers socializing inside a classroom on a lower flat of one of the school buildings. According to the police report, the officers who responded to the school reported that the teachers were drinking alcohol, conducting a game of cards and playing music. Police say all teachers were informed of the offence, cautioned and taken to the police station.  The teachers arrested and charged for attending a restricted social event are Dedra Palacio; Laura Van Stuivenberg; Sharon Martinez; Shenda Godoy; Naomi Valencio; Jean Bregal; Deneen Cayetano; Aurelia Noralez; Jenia Jeneane; Loretta Lucas; Eliane Alvarez and Ingrid Ellis.
