U.D.P. Political Appointees Need to Go

John Briceño

After being sworn in as Prime Minister, John Briceño sent subtle warning to all U.D.P. political appointees.  When there is a change of government, these political appointees in high positions would resign as a matter of political tradition, but Briceño wants them to be quick about it.

Prime Minister John Briceño

“If you were to allow me to say this that I have just sworn in as the Prime Minister in this country and I am first, I am asking that all the appointed persons to statutory boards to follow protocol, traditions that they should tender their resignations. But that professional people continue to do their work as expected.”

One board under the microscope is B.T.L., which is reeling from a scandal involving its former chairman Net Vasquez who abused the corporate credit card racking up personal charges.  Today, C.E.O. Tesecum sent out a memo to staff saying that in due course, the new government will appoint a new board and make a determination as to what changes, if any, will be made at B.T.L.
